What we provide…11+ preparation…
Grammar school education is available to every child, however not every child will secure the passing score needed for the entry into grammar school. Here at Know & Grow Tutors we aim to give each child that joins us the best opportunity to pass the entrance exam to gain a place at grammar school. We are based in Trafford but we accept students from anywhere in UK for both GL and CEM style exams. We also provide private school entrance exam preparations.
We believe that feedback is extremely important. It will allow you to take a reasonable and sensible view of your child’s likelihood of success, and to plan accordingly. We at Know & Grow Tutors will be honest with you at all times.

We accept students from both year 4 and year 5

Year 4
​
Starting in Year 4 gives the student a head start. The right foundations can be laid and preparations for the 11+ exam feel a little less daunting. This is recommended for those who may not be at their best yet, (academically speaking). An early start not only prepares the child for the 11+ exam, but can also improve their grades throughout the year.

Year 5

OUR COURSE INCLUDES:

Both an individual and group are assessed before the course begins, to ensure the course and the exam is right for your child, with no obligation to continue.

Regular feedback, whenever you need, either over phone or short video call over zoom as per your convenience.

Mock exams are also available to choose from available dates.
From many years of experience in tutoring, we have learnt that creating a fun and relaxed environment is the best way to encourage our students to try their best whilst studying. Year 6 SATs preparation
Our tutors are well experienced in SATs preparation, We can work on spelling, punctuation, grammar, comprehension and maths, as much as your child needs. Your child will also work through previous SATs papers with us. We believe that practice and working through any weaknesses that are identified are the best way to ensure your child’s progression, whatever their starting point.

Maths Tutoring
As the new GCSE syllabus is considerably more demanding than the previous, we believe that if your child starts to struggle it is imperative to look for extra help as soon as possible.

We accept students from year 7 to year 11, for both the Foundation level and Higher level GCSE. The classes are tailored to the needs of the student, and in amongst the hard work there will be some fun, because maths can be fun! We are very proud of the fact that our tuition not only improves our students’ academic performance, but also builds their confidence and self-esteem.

We also provide tuition for Further maths GCSE (FSMQ), A-Level Maths and Further maths A-Level

Maths booster Session for year 11
This course is suitable for students in year 11. The courses are run during each half term holiday of year 11. Most topics will be briefly revised, a few topics will require more in depth work, and the bulk of the sessions will concentrate on practice questions and exam style questions. We have found this method of revision to be the most efficient and most effective.
Our first session is in October half term.

Long Maths & Vocabulary booster course
This course is suitable for 11 plus students preparing for Grammar school.
These long maths sessions are designed to give your child the tools they need to handle exam questions that require multiple calculations to find an answer.
​
Most topics will be briefly revised, a few topics will require more in depth work, and the bulk of the sessions will concentrate on practice questions and exam style questions. We have found this method of revision to be the most efficient and most effective.”

Summer school
This is a special booster course designed for the 11+ exam. This is a very popular course as it is very intensive and run just before the actual 11+ exams. This will give the child a last minute Boost that can be extremely helpful

This is WEEKLY COURSE, every week is different. You can book each book separately or all three.
​
CLASSES WILL BE RUN FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY 3 HRS EACH DAY FOR THREE WEEKS IN AUGUST. This weekly course include a free mock test. Full detailed feed back will be provided for every week.

The cost of the Summer School is £200 for each week. Payments have to be paid in advance in order to secure a place.
We have found that group sessions can give a student a sense of competition which will often motivate them to a better performance.
